LET’S SING!

AN ACTIVE MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAMME CENTRED ON SINGING FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Let’s Sing! engages children of all abilities in active music making centered on singing to improve social skills and encourage social development.

Let’s Sing! is child centred, with an ethos of fun and enjoyment, which applies music education and child development theories to form a practical music education approach.

Our aim is to improve children’s self-confidence and social skills through singing while also giving them a foundation of musical knowledge.

This engaging and interactive work-in-progress live performance by Rachel Drew will encompass beautiful children’s songs and contemporary easy-listening songs. Young children (0-3) and their parents or guardians will be invited to sit in a circle and enjoy musical activities with the aid of props such as lights, scarves, bubbles and percussion instruments in a relaxed and informal environment.

Events are free but we would love your feedback as part of attendance.

Presented as part of The Civic’s Education programme.

Kindly supported by The Arts Council and South Dublin County Council.
