Class types

Baby & Toddler (0 - 3 years)

Join Rachel  Drew, (BA Mus, MA Mus) as she leads a fun filled and interactive class of live music and song. Rachel is Garda vetted and fully insured. Classes are fully compliant with Covid-19 regulations.

Let’s Sing Baby and Toddler music classes are centred on singing and 100% live music for children aged up to 3 years accompanied by their parents/guardians.

The classes take place in a fun and engaging active music-making environment where children and their parents or guardians sit in a circle and are also encouraged to move freely around the room for various activities and games. Activities include singing nursery rhymes and games, playing percussion instruments, movement to music, bubble time, parachute games and lots more!

Children can develop non-musical skills such as language and speech development, numeracy, motor co-ordination, self-confidence and social interaction. Parents and guardians may also enjoy the benefits by improving the bond with their child and enjoying social interaction with others.

Pre-school (2 – 4 years)

This fun singing class is for children aged 2 to 4 years. Classes take place in an active music-making environment where children sit in a circle and are also encouraged to move freely around the room for various activities and games. Young children can improve their vocal skills such as finding their voice, developing confidence in singing, learning to sing in tune on their own and in a group and singing a range of songs from memory. Oher musical skills include; learning to play a variety of percussion instruments, learning to actively listen to music, responding emotionally to music, understanding beat and rhythm by moving to action songs and playing instruments, understanding dynamics and appropriate use of tone and volume of voice. Social, emotional and physical benefits of singing include developing language, literacy and numeracy skills, fine and gross motor co-ordination, concentration, self-confidence, emotional sensitivity, social skills, team work, self-discipline and relaxation.

Classes include singing games, playing percussion instruments, movement to music and lots more!

Junior (5 – 7 years) Senior (8 – 11 years)

Let’s Sing! engages with students of all levels of abilities, its’ aim is to improve students' self-confidence and social skills through singing while also giving them a foundation of musical knowledge. Let’s Sing! allows students to find their voice, sing in tune on their own and in groups, develop music literacy in a creative way, be self-confident and develop social skills, self-expression and communication skills. Classes take place in an active music-making environment where students sit in a circle and are encouraged to move freely around the room for various activities and games. Children can improve their vocal skills such as finding their voice, developing confidence in singing, learning to sing in tune on their own and in a group and singing a range of songs from memory. Oher musical skills include, learning to actively listen to music, responding emotionally to music, understanding pitch discrimination through Solfége, understanding beat and rhythm by moving to action songs, understanding dynamics and appropriate use of tone and volume of voice. Social, emotional and physical benefits of singing include developing language, literacy and numeracy skills, fine and gross motor co-ordination, concentration, self-confidence, emotional sensitivity, social skills, team work, self-discipline and relaxation.

The lessons will include vocal and breathing techniques, vocal warm-ups and singing games, learning songs from memory and singing in a group.

Mindful singing for wellness

Do you love singing? Have you always wanted to sing more? The Let’s Sing mindful singing for wellness group is a non-competitive, relaxed and safe place for women to connect with their voices. No experience necessary!

Join Rachel Drew, (BA Mus, MA Mus.) as she leads you in finding your voice and developing your confidence in singing., vocal and breathing techniques, vocal warm-ups and songs and singing in harmony. Explore the many benefits of singing such as improved mood, relaxation, increased lung capacity, self expression, self-confidence and social interaction.


PRESCHOOLS

Children are inherently musical. Musical and singing activities in early childhood are proven to be beneficial to the social, emotional and physical development of children. Let’s Sing! is child centered, with an ethos of fun and enjoyment, thus developing children's musical, social, emotional and physical skills through singing. SCHOOLS

Let’s Sing provides once off workshops, series of classes and after-school classes for primary and secondary students.  Students will achieve musical skills such as finding and developing their singing voice, inner hearing and memorization, solo singing and group part singing, listening skills, understanding musical forms, pitch, beat and rhythm, moving to music.
